Join Giuseppe Sanncandro, of Regen Habitat, and Scott Gallant, of Porvenir Design for a 5 day Syntropic Agroforestry and Soil Workshop in Palombaio, Southern Italy, from the 29th of October to the 2nd of November 2025.

SYNTROPIC FARMING

A theoretical and practical course for those who want to design and manage Agroforestry Systems according to the Syntropic Agriculture approach and manage regenerative agricultural systems. We will learn how to transform poor soil into a productive and regenerative ecosystem, inspired by the principles of ecology through both Self-Produced Natural Fertilizers and Syntropic Agroforestry processes.

We will acquire concrete and reliable tools to transform our space into a system that produces food, beauty and biodiversity, with expert support.

COSTS

The workshop has a basic contribution that includes participation in the educational activities. Overnight and meal options are also available at the venue:

  • Workshop Participation: €650

It’s possible to book for extra days

  • Overnight stay:

    • Bed place in shared facility: 10€ per night.

    • tent/van place: 10€ per night per person.

  • Meals (all vegan and organic):

    • Breakfast: 3€

    • Lunch: 10€

    • Dinner: 10€.

FACILITATORS

Giuseppe Sannicandro

Giuseppe studies, designs, and teaches Syntropic Agroforestry and Permaculture in Italy, Europe and Africa since 2010.

Co-founder of Regen project, actively regenerating 6 ha in Apulia, Southern Italy, through agriculture, training hundreds of people with hands on internships and workshops.

He has studied with the founder of Syntropic Farming Ernst Gotsch, and with it’s first practitioners. Tutor for the Permaculture Diploma recognized by the Italian Permaculture Academy.

Giuseppe designs and offers consulting to regenerative farms and small and large-scale ecological projects.

Facilitates courses and workshops on Permaculture, Regenerative Agriculture, Earthworks, Water Management, Keyline Design, Soil Fertility, and Agroforestry.

Scott Gallant

Scott is a permaculture designer and educator with 15 years of experience working predominantly in Central America.

He is the co-founder of Porvenir Design, a landscape design firm specializing in productive landscapes, agroforestry, water systems, and design of large multi-stakeholder projects.

With his team he organized the first Syntropic Farming workshop in Central America, and since then he has studied with some of the foremost practitioners including Fernando Rebello, Thiago Barbosa, Henrique Sousa, Nat Muget, Jorge Espinosa, and Juã Pereira.

He is particularly interested in translating the unique practice of syntropic farming into English and contexts outside of Brazil.

He prides himself on the clear and concise teaching of complex ideas, and more recently has begun exploring Syntropic Farming in the mediterranean climate of southern Italy.
